About the Business
I have always loved flowers. One of my earliest memories is with my Nan picking armfuls of flowers from her beautiful English country garden. I was hooked. I love seeing flowers growing in their natural habitat. I've been lucky enough to admire all sorts of beautiful blooms growing across the globe but as a consumer I felt uninspired seeing the same flowers heavily packaged and mass produced and guilt-ridden with the resulting 'flower miles' generated to produce them. That started me on a journey to find out more about local and seasonal flowers and discover their natural beauty and potential as cut flowers. Aiming to 'green-up' my floristry and produce individual and beautiful creations in a more sustainable way I supplement my own home pickings with those from local growers and Catkin Blooms was born.

Catkin and Blooms is a delightful addition to Winkleigh Village! I go there regularly for coffee and cake. The staff are so friendly and helpful! I love the choice of things you can buy like wreaths, lots of presents, flowers, and scarves. Gloves socks and lovely freshly ground coffee. It's a lovely cafe with so many choices of things to buy.
